VerseTranslation
Narad mere santse adhik na koi……Narada, there is none above,
My Sant alone is the one I love.
Mam ur sant aru mai santan ur,
vas karu sthir hoi…
The Sant resides within my heart, and I within his stay;
In him I dwell eternally, unmoved in every way.
Kamala mero karat upasan,
man chapalta dhoi;
Yadyapi vas diyo mai ur par,
santan sam nahi soi…
Lakshmi bows in worship to me,
her pride and unrest cast aside;
Yet though she rests upon my chest,
the Sant in my heart does abide.
Bhuko bhar haru santan hit,
karu chhaya kar doi;
Jo mere santku rati ek duve,
tehi jad daru mai khoi…
For the sake of the Sant
I uphold the earth, its weight I bear;
Who harms him even a little,
l uproot from everywhere.

Through this verse, we see a dialogue, where Bhagwan speaks to Narada with deep affection, declaring that no one is dearer to Him than the true Sant. It is the Sant who is eternally present in His heart and in the true Sant’s heart He chooses to stay. Between Bhagwan and the Sant there is unanimity. Within the Sant, Bhagwan stays forever!

Even Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth who rests upon Bhagwan’s chest, bows to Him yet, despite her nearness, she is not as close to Him as the Sant. Such is the honor given to the true Sant, whose love to Bhagwan is pure and unwavering.

Bhagwan further reveals how deeply He protects His Sant. For their sake, He bears the weight of the earth itself, sustaining creation with care. And should anyone harm him, even slightly, He declares that He will uproot and destroy that harm at its very root. The Sant is thus surrounded by divine shelter, a living testimony to Bhagwan’s compassion and loyalty.

This verse offers us a profound reminder: to love, serve, and honor the Sant is to draw near to God Himself. The Sant is not merely a devotee, but the very abode of the Divine. To follow their example and hold their company is to place ourselves under the direct protection of the Lord, where love, wisdom, and grace flow without measure.
